Nengi Omuku’s 2025 ‘Along Fern River’ is included in The Clearing, a group exhibition curated by Ekow Eshun at Space Un, Tokyo. The exhibition runs through till 28 December 2025.

‘The Clearing’ brings together contemporary artists from across the African diaspora. Centered on painting, the exhibition explores the memory and imagination of Black communities, creating a contemplative space that reflects on healing, belonging, and creative resistance.
Space Un is an independent art space in Tokyo dedicated to contemporary African art and cultural exchange between Japan and the African continent. Based in Aoyama, with a residency program in Yoshino, Nara, the space hosts exhibitions, artist residencies, talks, and community events.
