Ayan Farah (b. 1978) lives and works in Stockholm. She received a BA in Fashion Design from Middlesex University (2003), a Postgraduate Degree from Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design (2006), followed by an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, London (2012). Solo exhibitions include Sammlung Klein, Eberdingen-Nussdorf; Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, London; Galerie Nordenhake, Stockholm; Galerie Kadel Wilborn, Düsseldorf and Almine Rech Gallery, Brussels. Her work has also been widely exhibited internationally, including presentations at Whitechapel Gallery, Londo; Tarble Arts Center, Charleston, IL; Fondazione Prada, Milan; New Art Centre, Salisbury; Sean Kelly Gallery, New York, NY; Casas Riegner, Botota; Fondation Hippocrène, Paris; Museo Britanico Americano, Mexico City; The Hole, New York, NY and Contemporary Arts Society, London.
