The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY, acquires work by Jadé Fadojutimi

Pippy Houldsworth Gallery is thrilled to announced that Jadé Fadojutimi's Hope (2021) has been acquired by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and is currently on view at the museum. The painting was part of the artist's first US solo museum exhibition, Yet, Another Pathetic Fallacy, at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (2021-22).

On a planet dominated by the ever-contradictory will of humans – their cruelties and their kindnesses, their dreams and failures, their hopes and disillusions – Jadé makes pictures replete with growth, of potential. Restless fragments – of ideas, impressions, sounds, colours, people – fuse to become something else, something whole, something new. Reincarnation is rife.
