Dancing in Dark Times

8 July - 21 August 2021 Main Space

A group exhibition exploring the exchange between the bodies we inhabit and the images we create, Dancing in Dark Times touches on history, fantasy, representation and identity. Together, these artists consider the dissemination and consumption of images; interrupt perceptions shaped by art historical narratives; blur the line between imagination, illusion and reality, and examine the relationship between visibility and power. With a focus on contemporary painting, new presentations of the figure prompt a re-evaluation of how we view ourselves today.
