ZOË WALKER & NEIL BROMWICH
On Saturday 10 September 2011, Walker & Bromwich sailed into Skye harbour with their ongoing project Celestial Radio, a glittering sailing boat adorned by 60,000 square-inch mirror tiles. Celestial Radio is both a sculptural object and a curated space for which new sound works are commissioned in response to specific locations. Commissioned by ATLAS, Celestial Skye will beam a unique broadcast on Cuillin FM 106.2 and on Celestial Radio 87.7 FM, transmitting an abstract soundscape of stories, songs and poetry collected by the artist duo whilst working intensely on Skye, Rona, and Raasay this summer.
